About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conceptualize, design, and develop new products aligned with company strategic goals
- Generate innovative product concepts based on market research, customer feedback, and emerging trends
- Manage projects and ensure updates follow the stage gate model
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints
- Create detailed design specifications, sketches, and prototypes using CAD software and other design tools
- Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and business alignment
- Conduct product testing and iterate designs based on feedback and performance data
- Monitor industry trends, technologies, and materials and present fresh ideas to the R&D Expert Centers team quarterly
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of design processes, specifications, and project progress
- Track innovation ideas, concept-to-prototype timing, prototype testing success, and financial returns from new products
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product design and development, preferably in an R&D environment
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, KeyShot, etc.)
- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to think creatively and innovatively
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Project management experience is a plus
