About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
- Analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware, and software designs and interface specifications.
- Design hardware, software, and interface specifications.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and certification requirements, including ARP4754A, DO-178, and DO-254.
- Test and validate system designs against operational and functional requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance for system integration and requirements compliance.
- Troubleshoot and support fielded hardware and software throughout the product lifecycle.
- Author and peer-review Functional Hazard Analyses, Fault Tree Analyses, Failure Mode and Effects Analyses, and System Safety Assessment documents.
- Travel internationally on occasion.
- Collaborate with a global, multicultural team of engineers.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in aircraft or aerospace network architecture, avionics, or complex embedded networking systems.
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Relevant experience with product development life cycle, requirements management and design review.
- Relevant experience with environmental qualification process.
- Relevant experience with FHA, FTA, FMEA, SSA, ARP4761 Safety Assessment, and product certification process.
- Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.
- This position does not require a Security Clearance.
