Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the design, architecture, development, deployment, support, and continuous improvement of complex production AI solutions, including generative AI, agentic AI, and selected machine-learning or data-science applications
- Translate complex or ambiguous business opportunities into solution architectures, delivery approaches, and production capabilities
- Own architecture and design decisions, evaluate technical alternatives and risks, and develop secure APIs, workflows, applications, integrations, and reusable components
- Advance engineering and DevOps practices through reusable patterns, technical standards, peer reviews, testing, deployment, documentation, monitoring, and operational support
- Enable employees to use approved AI capabilities effectively and responsibly through training, demonstrations, prompt and use-case coaching, reusable guidance, and hands-on support
- Assess technical, operational, and responsible-AI risks and operationalize governance requirements
- Guide teams through architecture, privacy, cybersecurity, compliance, testing, documentation, review, and production-readiness decisions
- Influence global business and technical stakeholders, coach engineers, review complex work, and promote reusable practices across the global Pressure Management organization
Requirements
What you’ll need- Demonstrated experience independently leading the design, architecture, delivery, and production support of complex AI, machine-learning, or AI-enabled software solutions
- Strong software-engineering capability in a modern programming language
- Experience designing secure APIs and integrations
- Experience with source control, automated testing, CI/CD, deployment controls, and production observability
- Hands-on experience developing generative and agentic AI solutions using grounding and retrieval, structured outputs, tool or function use, workflow orchestration, evaluation, safety controls, and human oversight
- Experience making solution-architecture and technical-risk decisions across enterprise cloud or AI platforms, business applications, data sources, and workflows
- Experience operationalizing security, privacy, responsible-AI, documentation, quality, governance, and monitoring requirements
- Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into technical approaches and explain complex decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience providing technical guidance through peer review, coaching, reusable engineering practices, or cross-functional collaboration
- Preferred: Microsoft Azure AI services or Microsoft Foundry, Copilot Studio, and Microsoft Power Platform
- Preferred: Microsoft 365 Copilot, GitHub Copilot, or other approved development assistants
- Preferred: Retrieval-augmented generation, agent orchestration, prompt and model evaluation, observability, or MLOps/LLMOps
- Preferred: Traditional machine learning, data science, data engineering, Power BI, or Microsoft Fabric
- Preferred: AI or automation solutions in industrial, manufacturing, engineering, or complex enterprise environments
