Key responsibilities & impact- Rapidly develop, test, and deploy Data Science solutions that deliver business value to Unison
- Work with internal customers to understand requirements and translate them into working solutions
- Apply analytics expertise, data knowledge, and user experience skills
- Support impactful AI/ML projects and FLIGHT DECK initiatives including Kaizen, VSM, and Gemba
- Work with large and/or complex datasets across asset deployment, fleet monitoring and management, OEM, MRO, supply chain, and financial operations
- Collaborate with internal Unison customers and stakeholders
- Develop custom in-house analytics tools
- Apply LLMs, computer vision, neural networks, and advanced statistical methods
- Work physically within the Unison office and report to the UK Senior Director of Data Science
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with minimum of 2 years of professional experience OR Associate degree with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 7 years of professional experience
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future
- Must be able to prove U.S. Person status for access to U.S. export-controlled information: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, or granted asylee/refugee status
- Python analytical scripting skills
- Knowledge and experience applying ML, AI, and advanced statistics to real-world problems
- Experience using version control, ideally GitHub
- Experience using an analytic development platform such as AWS or Databricks
- Keen interest in the aerospace/aviation industry
- Ability to work within a team or independently
- Ability to complete tasks within required timelines
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical information to varied stakeholders
- Ability to solicit and respond to customer feedback
