About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver value to customers and Kyndryl through domain, technology, and industry expertise, consulting techniques, and cognitive approaches
  • Analyze issues and create innovative solutions
  • Establish milestones and quality targets and manage the work of others
  • Articulate solution impact and business benefits and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Guide customers in adopting major cloud and non-cloud technologies, including virtualization and containers
  • Advise customers on technology options and strategic choices
  • Capture and prioritize complex requirements and resolve conflicting requirements
  • Analyze customers’ current state and define IT strategies with key outcomes
  • Design conceptual solutions and plan and execute design and implementation work with technical specialists
  • Manage time, cost, and quality targets
  • Develop intellectual property, assets, tools, and domain-specific white papers
  • Assemble and lead teams of consultants and architects
  • Facilitate and capture lessons learned and update methodologies and assets
  • Lead modernization programs spanning people, culture, process, and technology
  • Work with Kyndryl Consultants, Architects, Project Managers, and cross-functional Technical Subject Matter Experts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Consulting experience with an IT professional service “big 4” firm or similar background focused on IT strategy enablement
  • Knowledge of major cloud technologies, including virtualization, containers, and networking, across different cloud platforms
  • Subject matter expertise in at least three domains, such as cloud computing, IT strategy, infrastructure, IT operations, applications, enterprise architecture, solution architecture, automation, data management, AI/ML, IoT, and cloud governance models
  • Data modeling and analytical experience using common tools such as Excel and Tableau
  • Experience conducting issue-based analysis, structuring data, and producing conclusions, recommendations, and roadmaps
  • Knowledge of IT Operating Model and Process Frameworks
  • Awareness of broad competencies and depth in specific competency areas, including IT strategy, enterprise architecture, solution architecture, process reengineering, and automation
  • Ability to lead or facilitate workshops and interviews
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Understanding of DevSecOps, Agile, and Scrum constructs
  • Preferred: experience in IT and/or cloud technology architecture, service management, and/or resiliency
  • Preferred: ITSM and ITIL or COBIT certification
  • Preferred: business case, ROI, and TCO analysis skills
  • Preferred: experience leading workshops and interviews for discovery and assessment engagements
