Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, test, integrate, and sustain software components using C++ and/or Python
- Support the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, code review, integration, test, deployment, and sustainment in Linux environments
- Develop and maintain software interfaces, services, and data-processing capabilities supporting mission applications
- Troubleshoot software defects and support integration, test, and deployment activities
- Apply secure software-development practices and comply with program security requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop software interfaces meeting operational performance requirements and overall system architecture
- Support image science and remote sensing programs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate degree with 2 years of relevant experience
- In lieu of a degree, 8 or more years of directly related experience will be considered
- Experience with object-oriented design, debugging, and software integration
- Proficiency developing and maintaining software applications using C++ and/or Python
- Experience supporting the full software development lifecycle in Linux environments
- Preferred: TS/SCI security clearance; active TS/SCI security clearance
- Experience with Git, Jira, Confluence, automated testing, and continuous software-delivery practices
- Experience developing, deploying, or sustaining applications in AWS environments
- Experience with containers, Kubernetes, or related orchestration platforms
- Familiarity with image-processing concepts, algorithms, and analysis techniques
- Familiarity with remote-sensing systems, sensor modalities, data collection, and geospatial applications
