Key responsibilities & impact- Shape and implement the Mission Enabling Products Business Unit’s operational strategy and program execution initiatives
- Partner with executive leadership, program leadership, and functional leaders across multiple sites
- Design and implement data-driven strategies supporting production readiness, scalable execution, and continuous improvement
- Develop and apply advanced technical principles for strategic initiatives
- Lead technical aspects of initiatives to achieve cost, schedule, and quality objectives
- Own the full lifecycle of data visualization tools, dashboards, data entry solutions, and automated analytics capabilities
- Structure and facilitate recurring performance review meetings focused on strategy and execution metrics
- Coach and train stakeholders on data literacy and effective data use
- Explain information flow within and between ERP, MES, and planning/scheduling systems
- Lead data quality and cleanup efforts for new or enhanced business systems
- Translate complex data and analytics into clear, actionable insights for executives and front-line leaders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data-driven strategies and continuous improvement initiatives
- Travel to Oxnard, Goleta, Commerce, and San Diego sites
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field with 5 years of relevant data mining experience, or Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience (Level 3)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field with 8 years of relevant data mining experience, or Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience (Level 4)
- Demonstrated proficiency with SQL and Tableau or comparable BI/data visualization tools
- Hands-on experience with multiple complex systems to ingest, process, store, analyze, and visualize data
- Experience identifying trends in large data sets
- Experience facilitating cross-functional projects across all organizational levels
- Ability to translate complex concepts into practical, operational applications
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Project management, problem-solving, statistical analysis, and data visualization skills
- Knowledge of data mining architectures, models, and protocols
- Knowledge and application of Lean and Six Sigma principles, including Black Belt or Green Belt certification
- Understanding of advanced descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analysis techniques and methodologies
- Familiarity with manufacturing business systems such as ERP/MRP, SAP, Costpoint, Solumina MES, TipQA, Power Apps/Automate, and SharePoint
- 10% travel to various Southern California sites
- U.S. Citizenship is required for positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
