Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and optimize the multimedia software stack for NXP’s i.MX application processors
- Develop, integrate, and optimize multimedia components across the i.MX BSP
- Debug and resolve issues spanning kernel drivers, middleware, and application-level frameworks
- Collaborate with hardware, architecture, and customer-facing teams to enable and validate multimedia features
- Contribute to upstream open-source projects and align with mainline Linux multimedia ecosystems
- Profile and improve performance, latency, and resource utilization of multimedia pipelines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or relevant disciplines
- 3~5 years of software development experience for Embedded Linux or Android
- Very experienced in C/C++ programming
- Good understanding of technologies in at least one of the following areas: media frameworks, video, audio, parsers/muxers, camera and video capture, graphics and display, streaming protocols, or Chromium HTML5 Audio/Video
- Quick learner, inquisitive and team work spirit
- Preferred: Experience with NXP i.MX platforms (i.MX 8/9 series) or similar ARM-based SoCs
- Preferred: Familiarity with Yocto Project build systems and embedded Linux distributions
- Preferred: Contributions to open-source multimedia or Linux kernel projects
