About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Safely clean and disinfect medical equipment using approved disinfectant
- Maintain appropriate par levels for each department
- Answer and respond to phone calls and emails from hospital staff
- Read par sheets and inventory levels
- Adhere to hospital policies and infection control processes
- Obtain supplies via the Stock Acquisition Process
- Perform duties listed on the daily schedule
- Operate a pushcart to transport equipment
- Maintain daily upkeep of the assigned area and a clean work area
- Report incidents and hazardous conditions to the supervisor
- Comply with safety rules, policies, procedures, protocols, and company rules
- Perform work assignments with other employees
- Communicate professionally with leads, supervisors, co-workers, managers, and customers
- Fill in during staff shortages
- Support the shift lead in completing punch-list items
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct
- Provide customer service and support customer satisfaction
- Drive to various work locations, customer sites, or company facilities when necessary
Requirements
What you’ll need- No specific education requirements
- Completed all safety and task training certification
- A valid driver's license may be required based on business needs; employees required to drive must maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and meet company driving eligibility requirements
- Ability to read inventory forms
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willingness to share with team
- Knowledge of the upkeep and care of cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals and their safe, efficient use
- Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods of time
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to use proper personal protective equipment
