About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Shape product direction by contributing a design perspective to early product thinking, roadmap, and strategy discussions
- Work directly with customers and teams across the user base to understand needs and create clear, usable designs
- Deliver high-quality design across user flows and polished interfaces
- Balance clarity, usability, and craft
- Experiment, test, learn, and iterate quickly with product managers and engineers
- Use AI tools to prototype and validate ideas
- Evolve design patterns and components in the design system
- Work a few days per week from the downtown Porto office
- Collaborate remotely with US-based designers
- Work with Superhuman Docs, Databases, and Enterprise teams on AI-first product challenges
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of experience turning ideas into shipped products
- Ideally experience with AI-centered products, productivity tools, or mobile apps
- Portfolio demonstrating solutions to difficult product problems
- Comfortable working end-to-end from early discovery and wireframes to high-fidelity designs and AI-assisted prototypes
- Self-starter comfortable in a fast-moving environment
- Enjoys working collaboratively and iterating
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Comfortable working across time zones with a distributed team
- Based in Porto
- Willingness to travel occasionally to hubs in New York and San Francisco
