About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide high-quality nursing care to clinical trial participants in their homes
- Perform study-related procedures, including vital signs, specimen collection, processing, and shipment, and electrocardiograms (ECGs)
- Administer investigational medications/products per study protocol
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor for adverse events; report findings to the study team/Principal Investigator
- Accurately document visit activities according to study requirements
- Educate patients on study procedures, medications, and compliance
- Maintain adherence to ICH-GCP guidelines and study protocols
- Communicate with patients, caregivers, and study teams
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect confidential patient health information
- Advocate for patients/participants and their families
- Work autonomously, recognize limitations, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Follow ethical research requirements, including protections for vulnerable populations
- Travel to patients’ homes using a personal vehicle
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active, unrestricted nursing licensure
- Graduate from an accredited BSN, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program
- Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification acute care experience
- Clinical Research experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- ICH-GCP Certificate or willingness to obtain
- Basic IT proficiency, including mobile devices, documentation systems, and Microsoft tools
- Ability to work independently in home-based settings
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Training in Handling and Transport of Hazardous Substances, or willingness to receive training
- Flexible schedule
- Ability to drive 1–2 hours to patient homes in the local area
