Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technical support to the sales team and system integrator ecosystem
- Serve as technical referent and solution architect for Distech Controls solutions adoption
- Manage technical relationships with customers and carry out occasional on-site actions
- Support sales presentations, demonstrations, and customer solution onboarding
- Lead physical or remote meetings for system integrators on technical developments, solution design, and new product introductions
- Support system integrators on initial, strategic, and new-product projects
- Design and lead information sessions with design offices throughout the country
- Share project experience with technical support and training teams
- Contribute to future product evolution with R&D and Product Management
- Participate in product launches and commercial events, including webinars, trade shows, roadshows, and partner/customer meetings
- Manage projects independently and involve the necessary departments and people, with periodic team sharing
Requirements
What you’ll need- An engineer or equivalent with at least 5 years' experience in the field of building automation
- Programming knowledge in PLC languages of various brands
- Proficient in BMS systems and building communication protocols
- Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks; Niagara is a plus
- Knowledge of IoT and IT protocols, API REST, JSON, MQTT, IoT Hub, Node-RED
- Knowledge of IT networks and cybersecurity standards
- Knowledge of cloud architectures and principles
- Ability to connect field requests with OT/IT/EDGE/CLOUD solutions
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good English level is essential
- Recognized pedagogical approach
- Ability to work in a team and manage priorities during client emergencies
- Willingness to travel in the region 40% of the time
- Work remotely from Northern Italy, ideally from the Milan area
