About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and supervise bookkeeping staff and oversee division of duties
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable across multiple client accounts
- Lead month-end close, including booking transactions, adjusting journal entries, and preparing financial statements for review
- Use Ramp and QuickBooks Online for day-to-day accounting work
- Provide financial data for forecasting and support the fractional CFO with Excel-based financial modeling and data entry
- Review and correct financials before CFO review
- Participate in due diligence for fundraising or acquisition and prepare for audits
- Communicate with team members and clients
- Work collaboratively and independently
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 2-5 years of experience as a Controller
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting process management
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online required
- Ramp experience preferred but not required
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with financial reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows)
- Willingness and ability to work US business hours
- Experience with due diligence or audit processes is a plus
- Resume must be formatted in English
- Must be willing to work in a US timezone
