About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support process engineering delivery across energy and resources projects
- Support preparation of process engineering deliverables, including calculations, datasheets, PFDs, P&IDs and technical documentation
- Complete allocated tasks and work items in line with project plans, agreed timeframes and quality requirements
- Apply established engineering methods and approved tools, check work and seek guidance where required
- Coordinate inputs and follow up actions to support safe, timely and well-organised project delivery
- Identify routine issues, escalate risks appropriately and apply feedback to improve work quality and efficiency
- Support client and stakeholder interactions through clear communication, reliable delivery and timely preparation of information
Requirements
What you’ll need- A relevant qualification in Process or Chemical Engineering
- Eligibility for membership of Engineers Australia or IChemE
- Foundational knowledge of process engineering principles
- Strong interest in energy, resources and industrial projects
- Ability to apply technical skills under supervision and produce accurate, complete and well-checked outputs
- Strong organisation and communication skills
- Ability to coordinate inputs and deliver assigned tasks to agreed timeframes
- Exposure to process engineering software or digital tools, such as Aspen, fluid flow modelling tools or similar platforms, is desirable
- Proactive approach to learning, including seeking guidance, applying feedback and building technical capability through project work
- Commitment to safe, sustainable, compliant and practical engineering outcomes
- Responsible use of time and project resources
