About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete site development and improvement designs
- Support the Engineering and Design civil engineering group with engineering design and analysis
- Perform site layout, grading, drainage, and mass earthwork design and analysis
- Provide written and oral technical guidance
- Prepare permit review summaries
- Present findings to decision-making bodies
- Perform calculations and conduct data analysis
- Compile technical reports
- Provide quality client deliverables
- Work independently and collaboratively with project teams
- Occasionally modify schedules to meet project deadlines and client needs
- Perform up to 25% domestic fieldwork
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- 0–2 years of experience performing related work
- Familiarity with AutoCAD
- Civil 3D experience
- Strong computer skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PDF editing software
- Current, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship by Barr, now or in the future
- Ability to work in locations featuring rough construction-site terrain
- Ability to lift or move field testing equipment
- Ability to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- Willingness to participate in a drug screening program when requested by specific clients
