About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide direct patient care through the nursing process in a safe and effective manner
- Function as a member of an interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Coordinate outpatient and clinic care between clinic and home
- Communicate with medical staff, nursing staff, social workers, patients, families, home health agencies, third-party payors, pharmacies, and community resources
- Facilitate care via telehealth
- Identify and resolve barriers to care and refer risk management, peer review, and quality issues
- Maintain current nursing knowledge, professional records, competencies, and development goals
- Provide oversight for nursing care given by unlicensed personnel
- Support ethical practice, shared leadership, teaching, coaching, and a healthy work environment
- Integrate evidence and research into clinical judgment and nursing practice
- Participate in safety monitoring, hazard and error reporting, quality improvement, and workflow improvement
- Ensure equipment is in working order and complete required orientation, education, competency assessments, and staff meetings
Requirements
What you’ll need- 12 months RN experience required
- Graduation from accredited school of nursing
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) within one year of employment as required by department
- Bachelor of Science in nursing preferred
- 1 year of experience preferred
