About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the technical strategy, architecture, development, and roadmap for the Salesforce instance
  • Lead Salesforce development initiatives from planning through delivery
  • Set technical direction and best practices for building, testing, and releasing work
  • Manage Salesforce consultants and developers, assigning work and reviewing solutions
  • Hold the team accountable to delivery timelines and standards
  • Gather and evaluate business requirements with stakeholders
  • Build and maintain a Salesforce roadmap aligned with company priorities
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison to business partners
  • Translate business needs into scoped, buildable solutions
  • Establish and enforce change-management, release-process, and technical-debt standards
  • Oversee external Salesforce implementation partners and consultants
  • Coordinate with ERP, IT, and Data teams on integrations and data flows
  • Enable AI and product integration
  • Report to the Director of Enterprise Systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of experience working with the Customer Experience stack, including Salesforce
  • Hands-on Salesforce development and configuration experience
  • At least 2+ years in a people-management or team-lead capacity
  • Proven track record leading Salesforce development projects end-to-end, from requirements through deployment
  • Expert-level proficiency in Apex, LWC, SOQL, REST/SOAP APIs, and complex declarative automation
  • Experience managing a team of developers or consultants, including reviewing technical work and holding a team accountable to delivery standards
  • Strong grasp of Salesforce architecture, data model, and integration patterns
  • Salesforce certifications such as Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Developer strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to build and communicate a technology roadmap tied to business priorities
  • Ability to push back on stakeholders and drive toward the right technical decision
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience managing executive-level stakeholders and guiding leaders toward alignment
  • Experience managing external consultants or implementation partners is a plus
  • Ability to work legally in the United States
