About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct component and product integration for maximum performance and operability
- Manage product and systems requirements, specifications, and flow down
- Drive validation and verification activities, including system-level testing
- Define product requirements for modules, components, subcontractors, and partner teams
- Manage interfaces between components and execution organizations
- Drive CTQ/risk trade-offs within component design teams
- Manage overall product configuration and configuration control systems
- Develop specialized systems engineering knowledge and contribute to strategy and policy development
- Serve as a best-practice and quality resource
- Analyze data to support recommendations and solve moderately complex engineering or operational problems
- Lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements
- Support colleagues with less experience and build consensus across teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant experience in Engineering/Technology & Systems Engineering
- Knowledge level comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma with relevant experience (roles outside the USA)
- Master's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in the relevant Job Family Group(s)/Function(s) (roles in the USA)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
- Established project management skills
- Knowledge of systems engineering, component and product integration, requirements management, specifications, validation and verification, system-level testing, configuration control, CTQ/risk trades, and product configuration management
