About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage each assigned program from award through one year after start of production.
- Serve as the program champion and primary contact for customers, engineers, and sister plants.
- Direct program teams to meet objectives through successful launch.
- Deliver prototype and production programs on budget, on time, at quoted rates, and meeting or exceeding customer quality expectations.
- Direct Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) according to AIAG requirements.
- Manage and resolve program open issues using an open issues matrix.
- Report program status to Gestamp stakeholders and customer representatives.
- Provide facility pre-production support.
- Manage engineering changes and program quoting activity.
- Keep Gestamp GPCS systems up to date in Team Center.
- Lead launch activities across all commodities and new business platforms.
- Assist plants with design, processing, and manufacturing industrialization changes.
- Communicate efforts to account managers, engineers, and customers.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A four-year degree in any engineering discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of automotive industry experience.
- Experience in systems for support of Mercedes Benz.
- Formal training in statistical applications to manufacturing processes.
- Personal computer skills with familiarity with word processing and spreadsheets.
