Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events from a wide range of devices
- Perform general operations maintenance support on security tools and agents
- Process and correlate highly technical information from multiple sources to support investigations
- Stay current with cybersecurity vulnerabilities, exploits, malicious activities, trends, and countermeasures
- Provide periodic on-call security operations support during non-business hours
- Assist with scanning systems for known vulnerabilities and support remediation
- Analyze and respond to previously undisclosed software and hardware vulnerabilities
- Identify areas of risk and assist with mitigating risks to an acceptable level
- Maintain knowledge of vendor products, services, and security technologies and recommend or implement their use
- Approach problems, projects, and incidents professionally and objectively
- Complete special projects and additional duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
- Knowledge or ability to learn Microsoft Office Suite or Microsoft 365
- Operating systems experience or knowledge: Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux, Windows 10/11
- Network technologies knowledge: Cisco LAN/WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP
- Knowledge of security infrastructure applications including Endpoint Detection and Response tools, automated systems management, vulnerability management tools, password management tools, and email server security
- Knowledge of office productivity software, popular browsers, security-related software analysis and protection, and other business applications
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Moderate or advanced keyboard usage
- Regular and predictable work schedule and full attention to work activities during business hours unless otherwise approved or required by applicable law
