About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Select orders based on priorities provided by the area lead or supervisor
- Measure raw materials before processing
- Hold parts to quality specifications and perform in-process audits during cycle runs
- Follow established procedures to operate and check grind lines
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot centerless grinders, infeed robot cells, and chamfer robot cells
- Maintain output and produce parts to specifications
- Read blueprints and resolve quality-specification issues
- Separate, identify, and report nonconforming products from good product
- Document production information accurately on paperwork and in the MII reporting system
- Perform daily housekeeping
- Perform routine machine maintenance using the CLI checklist
- Train new operators when required
- Perform other duties assigned by the area lead or supervisor
Requirements
What you’ll need- US Citizen or US Permanent Resident status required for consideration
- Ability to set up and operate automated grind lines
- Ability to measure raw materials and perform in-process audits
- Ability to follow procedures for running and checking grind lines
- Ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot centerless grinders, infeed robot cells, and chamfer robot cells
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Ability to resolve issues related to quality specifications
- Ability to identify and report nonconforming products and accurately document them on paperwork and in the MII reporting system
- Ability to perform routine machine maintenance using the CLI checklist
- Ability to train new operators when required
