About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a team of web developers building solutions for Mouser’s eCommerce platform
  • Develop and maintain a productive work team, including hiring, training, performance management, transfers, advancement, and termination
  • Manage daily team operations to meet department and company objectives
  • Influence assigned or aligned resources and engineers
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Architecture, Quality Assurance, Operations, business, and development teams
  • Promote collaboration and transparency by building trusting relationships across departments
  • Assess development-group readiness and drive continuous improvement
  • Optimize processes, workflows, software programs, technology designs, architecture, and solutions
  • Troubleshoot and debug software or processes during support needs and perform root cause analysis
  • Lead collaboration and education on development, architecture, design concepts, and related systems
  • Create and review technical documentation, including wiki pages, SharePoint guides, standards, and procedures
  • Assist management with results-oriented strategies
  • Keep stakeholders informed about risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies
  • Work with minimum supervision and make independent judgments
  • Build relationships with internal and external business contacts across cultures and organizational levels

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, or relevant discipline; alternatively, 12+ years of overall industry experience with a software development background in lieu of a bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 1 year as a highly performing Lead/Coordinator or a total of 2 years as a highly performing Mouser employee for internal candidates
  • Proficient understanding of C#, JavaScript, Vue.JS, React.JS, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, SASS/SCSS, XML, and JSON
  • Proficient in ASP.NET MVC, Web Forms, jQuery, Bootstrap, NUnit, and Moq testing frameworks
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server (TFS), Azure DevOps, SQL Server Management Studio, Review Assistant Tool, and ScaleOut StateServer (SOSS)
  • Experience with ASP.NET Web API, RESTful Web Services, Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), and SOAP Web Services
  • Proficient understanding of SQL Server and MySQL
  • Proficient knowledge of ecommerce and electronics distribution
  • In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle and experience delivering solutions using waterfall, Kanban, or agile approaches
  • Robust analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate systems problems or processes to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to provide impact analysis and/or root cause analysis
  • Ability to work with integrity, ethical business practices, confidentiality, trustworthiness, independent judgment, and flexibility
  • Regular attendance at work is essential
