About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own quality and direction for new products across a portfolio of companies
  • Test all work against acceptance criteria before it reaches stakeholders
  • Write test cases and test web applications on real iOS and Android devices
  • Sign off on releases when they meet quality standards
  • Own product management end to end for new features and emerging products
  • Translate business ideas into technical engineering specifications
  • Write acceptance criteria and maintain prioritized backlogs
  • Manage App Store and Google Play submissions, review responses, and mobile release schedules
  • Direct AI-assisted workflows to rapidly prototype and validate features
  • Coordinate handoffs from starter platforms to full engineering production and internal codebases/AWS infrastructure
  • Perform technical reviews, diagnose build bottlenecks, and write code overrides or refinements
  • Help hire, structure, and scale the internal development organization
  • Mentor and train remote development teams
  • Set technical standards and lead code reviews
  • Write job descriptions and screen and interview developers and testers
  • Interview stakeholders and developers and convert feedback into backlog items
  • Support the agency approximately 5 hours per week with AWS accounts, hosting, access, software costs, and technical client-project needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of experience managing remote software engineering teams, running agile sprint cycles, and actively driving hiring strategies or organization building
  • 7+ years of hands-on full-stack development experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Supabase/PostgreSQL
  • Active, practical experience using AI code creation or agentic tools such as Lovable, Cursor, Windsurf, v0, or similar platforms
  • Strong UI/UX awareness and product intuition
  • Exceptional English communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with international startup teams and founders
  • Ability to identify missed bugs and document reproduction steps
  • Ability to turn rough product ideas into clear specifications and prioritized backlogs
  • Experience with AWS and getting mobile apps through App Store and Google Play review
  • Experience working on SaaS or marketing technology products
  • Experience with React Native, Capacitor, or another cross-platform mobile development approach
  • Experience as a fractional CTO, agency tech lead, or startup technical founder
  • Experience moving a product from an AI app builder into a production codebase
  • Familiarity with analytics, tag management, and CRM integrations
  • Fluent English, spoken and written, is required
  • Ability to work a combination of US and overseas hours, overlapping with US stakeholders and developers in other time zones
  • A deep background in marketing and sales is nice to have
