About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide day-to-day front-to-back operational support to Fixed Income Trading and Sales desks across multiple products and client segments
- Perform trade validation, allocation, matching, and post-execution trade processing
- Investigate and resolve trade breaks, discrepancies, and settlement exceptions
- Monitor trade lifecycle events through settlement
- Conduct daily reconciliations across trading, settlement, and accounting platforms
- Identify, escalate, and resolve discrepancies involving trades, allocations, positions, and client reporting
- Monitor and manage settlement fails
- Support data integrity and operational accuracy controls
- Respond to client inquiries regarding trade activity, reconciliations, and cash differences
- Investigate and resolve client-facing operational issues
- Maintain relationships with clients, counterparties, custodians, and service providers
- Coordinate setup and maintenance of client accounts, counterparties, settlement instructions, and trading relationships
- Maintain accurate account and settlement data across relevant platforms
- Support onboarding for new clients, products, and business activities
- Partner with Trading, Sales, Operations, Compliance, Finance, and Technology teams
- Coordinate with local and global operations teams on settlement and issue resolution
- Escalate material operational risks and exceptions under governance procedures
- Contribute to the organization’s risk and control culture
- Participate in strategic initiatives, system implementations, and operational enhancement projects
- Identify workflow improvements through automation and process optimization
- Support testing, implementation, and documentation of technology and process changes
- Produce and distribute daily Profit & Loss (P&L) and management reporting
- Prepare operational metrics and management information for decision-making and oversight
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline
- 1-3 years of experience within Fixed Income Operations, Middle Office, Trade Support, or Capital Markets Operations
- Experience supporting fixed income products and trade lifecycle management preferred
- Knowledge of trade settlement, reconciliation processes, trade support, fail management, and client servicing highly desirable
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reconciliation functions
- Experience with Bloomberg, TOMS, Broadridge Impact, or similar trading and operations platforms preferred
- Familiarity with Fixed Income market structure, settlement processes, and operational controls
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative team player with a positive and professional attitude
- Continuous improvement mindset focused on process efficiency and automation
- FINRA Series 7 and/or Series 99 licenses preferred
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring employer sponsorship to commence employment
