About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform industry-leading pest management services for residential customers
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify pest infestations, damage, and entry points
- Determine the type of pest infestation
- Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps
- Eliminate pests while adhering to safety standards
- Educate customers on pest prevention methods and reducing future infestation risks
- Build customer relationships
- Schedule and confirm customer appointments
- Assist with sales to current customers
- Expand products to new customers
- Maintain, stock, and ensure proper working condition of pest control equipment
- Follow local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols
- Drive and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle
- Communicate with clients about pest control solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver's license from state of residence
- Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations
- Available to work Monday-Friday and weekends as needed
- Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control
- Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills sufficient to follow instructions for mixing products according to labels
- Customer-facing experience preferred
- Clean-shaven face required for respirator seal
- Ability to work in tight, confined spaces
- Ability to work around animals, insects, termites, mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals
- Ability to work inside and outside in the local climate
- Ability to regularly sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
- Ability to wear OSHA-compliant personal protective equipment, including a respirator
