About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide senior-level technical leadership for complex software, middleware, and cloud engineering initiatives across multiple platforms
  • Lead application architecture, solution design, development, integration, deployment, and production support across the software development lifecycle
  • Evaluate technology options, approve architectural decisions, and ensure technical deliverables meet functional, performance, reliability, and security requirements
  • Resolve complex technical issues through troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and long-term corrective actions
  • Partner with business stakeholders, product teams, architects, and vendors to assess change impacts and define solution strategies
  • Establish engineering best practices, development standards, and modern delivery methodologies while mentoring engineers
  • Create, review, and maintain architecture documentation, technical specifications, standards, and implementation guidelines
  • Drive continuous improvement in software quality, testing automation, observability, development processes, and engineering tools
  • Design, develop, and review reusable, testable, and maintainable full-stack solutions using modern frameworks and cloud-native technologies
  • Collaborate with UI/UX, front-end, and backend engineering teams to deliver seamless user experiences and scalable application architectures
  • Architect and manage data integrations across APIs, databases, cloud services, and enterprise platforms
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise technology, risk, and information security standards
  • Apply knowledge of front-, middle-, and back-office business processes to improve operational efficiency and support effective controls
  • Participate in strategic initiatives, modernization programs, and other assigned projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in software development
  • At least 5 years in a technical lead role
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in relevant fields such as Computer Science, IT, or Software Engineering, or a Master’s degree/Diploma in Computer Science
  • Strong expertise in software architecture, system design, and full-stack development across multiple platforms
  • Experience with cloud-based architectures
  • Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, ECS, Kubernetes, Kore.AI, Android, and iOS development
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, C, or JavaScript with expertise in related frameworks and tools
  • Must not require visa sponsorship; Vanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position
