About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Marshall aircraft upon arrival and departure
- Load and unload baggage and cargo compartments
- Clean the interior and exterior of aircraft
- Supply cabin services and stock aircraft provisions
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of ramp and work areas
- Service and clean powered and unpowered equipment, including fuel farm activities, oil servicing, and pump drainage
- Safely drive and operate ground support equipment, including belt loaders, tugs, and baggage carts
- Pick up and deliver cargo and bags between the terminal, warehouse, and aircraft
- Connect and remove ground power and ground start units and perform water service
- Perform aircraft pushback, wing walking, and related guide-man functions
- Complete other tasks as directed by management
- Maintain a secure work environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand English
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and days off
- Ability to communicate successfully with others
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to work in inclement weather
- Must join the Transport Workers Union (TWU) and pay union dues
- This job is covered by a collective bargaining agreement
