About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a small portfolio of captive insurance companies
- Support colleagues managing large and complex captive insurance companies
- Serve as the primary contact for captive operations
- Prepare financial statements
- Ensure captive companies comply with regulatory requirements and complete required filings accurately and on time
- Perform special client requests, including business plan changes, financial proformas, and analysis of new agreements
- Keep reviewers informed and involved early on non-routine changes and seek guidance when needed
- Manage day-to-day communications with clients and service providers regarding captive business operations and insurance programs
- Liaise with domicile regulators, auditors, actuaries, tax advisors, bankers, and legal advisors
- Contribute to special projects as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Accounting experience with attention to detail
- Either hold or be working towards an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred
- Excellent Excel skills
- Previous experience working within a team environment to meet filing deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to think through and complete tasks independently
- Ability to contribute to special projects as needed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Growth mentality with willingness to accept feedback
