About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop appropriate and proportionate safety justification documentation, predominantly for nuclear projects
- Lead the development of Nuclear, Product, Construction, Process and HSE safety cases
- Ensure technical quality and excellence of work
- Communicate regularly with clients and design team members
- Participate in Design Reviews, HAZOPs, HAZCONs, SHERAs and stakeholder meetings
- Contribute to designs and safety requirements for complex facilities, systems and equipment
- Adhere to and contribute to business and quality management systems
- Support operational and design safety and develop a strong safety culture
- Guide and lead other team members
- Visit client sites periodically as project requirements dictate
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive experience in the development of safety justification for nuclear infrastructure
- Similar safety case experience within high hazard industries may be considered
- Significant nuclear defence industry experience may be considered
- Experience developing Nuclear, Product, Construction, Process and HSE safety justification documentation
- Experience contributing to safety requirements for complex facilities, systems and equipment
- Experience with Design Reviews, HAZOPs, HAZCONs, SHERAs and stakeholder meetings
- Ability to ensure technical quality and excellence
- Adherence to business and quality management systems
- Knowledge of operational and design safety
- Ability to develop a good safety culture
- Self-starter with ability to guide and lead others within the team
