About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide cost management support to the EDF Energy Nuclear Generation work portfolio
- Monitor, control, analyse and report cost-related aspects for designated projects
- Identify and understand variances against the baseline through performance analysis
- Perform cost reconciliation
- Prepare monthly status reports and participate in accountability meetings with stakeholders
- Forecast project costs
- Assist with baseline management and change and risk management
- Assist in developing and using project control structures, including CBS, OBS and WBS
- Work closely with the Planning Project team to maintain alignment between the financial position and project plan
- Contribute to an integrated Project Delivery team
- Support defueling and decommissioning of an AGR nuclear power station
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of HNC/HND ideally in a cost related discipline or relevant experience
- Previous experience of cost control
- Ability to administer transactional aspects in SAP, including order placement and accruals
- Some experience or understanding of Earned Value Analysis / Earned Value Management (EVM)
- High level of numeracy and excellent analytical skills
- Awareness of the level of interaction required with the project team function to support successful project delivery
- Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills working in a team environment
- Relevant experience in Project Controls and/or Project Delivery, preferably in a highly regulated environment
- Excellent MS Office skills and proficiency in preparing reports using Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Security clearance required
- No driving required
