Key responsibilities & impact- Provide navigation engineering lead support for the Unmanned Aircraft System Air Vehicle Team
- Coordinate across Development, Production, Sustainment, and Training IPTs
- Coordinate with navigation subject matter experts
- Manage domestic and Cooperative Program flight navigation systems, including navigation hardware, software, and avionics integration
- Ensure avionics are supported throughout their operational service life
- Manage navigation requirements and architecture, ECP, TD, TDL products, and navigation capability upgrades
- Manage life-cycle development and the SETR process, including critical design reviews for navigation systems integrating across multiple IPTs
- Coordinate navigation roadmap, Jira ticket tracking, DMSMS obsolescence and reliability, GCS integration, and lab, ground, and flight test personnel
- Work with driven, supportive, and highly skilled professionals
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Defense acquisition
- Minimum 3 years supporting DoW Acquisition management
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; an associate’s degree plus 4 additional years of experience, or 8 additional years of experience without an associate’s degree, may substitute for a bachelor’s degree
- Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance
- Knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures
- Knowledge of Communications, Navigation, Surveillance, Air Traffic Management (CNS-ATM) / Global Air Traffic Management (GATM)
- Knowledge of requirements and architecture management
- Experience with DoW 5000 series requirements
- Knowledge of navigation systems, including EGI, PBN, SAASM, M-Code, ADAP, A-PNT, and NAVWAR
- Ability to work with large and diverse teams and communicate effectively across them
- Willingness to come to the client site at least once a month
