About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and delivery for Apollo’s core data catalog
  • Make Apollo’s data the foundation for the agent, API, and workflow product surfaces
  • Prioritize the roadmap with Data Engineering, Research, and Design, aligned to company OKRs
  • Build central data telemetry and dashboards measuring catalog breadth, depth, accuracy, and freshness
  • Lead the always-on data sourcing operation, including source identification, evaluation, and integration
  • Bridge R&D and Partnerships on vendor data sourcing, evaluation, and ongoing relationships
  • Collaborate with Engineering on approaches to improve the core data catalog
  • Support key customer data initiatives and evaluations with sales and field teams
  • Align Product, Engineering, Design, GTM, Support, and Enablement
  • Evolve Apollo into a trusted data layer for sales and marketing
  • Engage customers, GTM teams, Support, and internal users to identify data gaps and quality or usability issues
  • Set strategy for adding new data sources and presenting data across products and customer systems
  • Rapidly prototype with AI-native workflows to validate ideas
  • Translate complex data pipelines into trustworthy customer experiences
  • Lead build-versus-buy-versus-partner decisions for data sources and own business cases
  • Partner with Engineering on architecture, reliability, observability, APIs, data models, and edge cases
  • Partner with Design to make data provenance, freshness, and confidence visible
  • Partner with GTM, Support, and Customer Success on data-quality evaluations
  • Define the KPI tree and learning loop; prioritize, measure, and iterate
  • Write strategy documents, PRDs, launch plans, and tradeoff memos

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of product management experience, including ownership of complex data-centric product areas from strategy through launch
  • Experience using AI-native tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, Figma AI, or similar to prototype, validate, and accelerate execution
  • Ability to demonstrate things built or shipped, not just specifications written
  • Principal-level ownership across a meaningful product area with company-level visibility
  • Strong product judgment and ability to make high-leverage decisions and tradeoffs
  • Ability to navigate complex data sources and aggregation processes for a high-availability, performant data catalog
  • Ability to design and leverage data-backed telemetry for product decisions
  • Understanding of data privacy, GDPR, CCPA, consent, and licensing constraints
  • Technical fluency across architecture, reliability, observability, APIs, data models, instrumentation, and edge cases
  • Customer empathy for data gaps, stale records, and inaccuracies
  • Ability to define, ship, measure, and iterate effectively
  • Strong influence and communication skills
  • Experience with B2B data products, data marketplaces, enrichment, identity resolution, or data-as-a-service businesses
  • Familiarity with entity resolution, record matching, data freshness and decay, confidence scoring, and high-scale data collection and verification
  • Experience sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating third-party data vendor relationships
  • Experience building for sales, marketing, RevOps, customer success, or GTM operators
  • Experience using analytics, experimentation, observability, or support data to improve data quality and customer outcomes
