Key responsibilities & impact- Plan software development tasks, including detailed software design, coding, and unit, integration, functional, and system testing
- Develop customer-desired features and user stories and ensure acceptance criteria are met
- Partner with stakeholders on system definition and translation of system-level requirements into software requirements and models
- Review software system-level analyses to identify risks, issues, and opportunities
- Lead integration and deployment of mitigation actions throughout the software lifecycle
- Lead code reviews for requirements and standards alignment
- Monitor and review test completion, verification processes, and issue resolution
- Review products and processes for alignment with project plans and industry standards
- Track and evaluate internal team and supplier performance
- Install, configure, administer, and patch on-premises and/or cloud middleware platforms
- Diagnose end-to-end integration issues across applications, middleware, and network layers
- Assist development teams with deployment packaging, configuration, and connectivity
- Tune middleware settings and analyze thread dumps, heap usage, logs, and connection pools
- Support CI/CD pipelines for middleware components
- Containerize middleware components and support deployments
- Participate in the full product development lifecycle from conceptualization and development through maintenance and customer support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on Mission Management and Mission Planning software for Boeing Space Mission Systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor degree or higher
- U.S. Citizenship required for active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
- Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance, or clearance active within the past 24 months
- Experience with message-oriented Middleware (ActiveMQ, Redis, Kafka)
- Experience with system administration of complex infrastructure and software development systems
- Experience administering and troubleshooting Java application servers (Weblogic, Websphere, Jboss, etc.)
- Level 4: 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 5+ years of related work experience, OR Bachelor’s Degree and 9+ years of directly related work experience, OR 13+ years of related, relevant experience
- Familiarity with TDD, DevSecOps, and CI/CD management
- Experience using Jenkins or GitLab CI
- Experience in API management, including API security policies and rate limiting
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI) and messaging/API services
- Experience writing and executing unit, integration, and system test cases
- Experience with systems engineering or software development on space-based or ground-based systems
- Adjudicated CI Polygraph pre-start
- Must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest assessment process
- Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements as a U.S. Person
- Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
- Must complete the CodeVue technical assessment
