Key responsibilities & impact- Develop Mission Management and Mission Planning software
- Plan software development tasks, including detailed design, coding, and unit, integration, functional, and system testing
- Translate system-level requirements into software requirements and models with traceability to design, code, and test artifacts
- Review software system-level analyses and lead mitigation actions
- Lead code reviews
- Monitor and review test completion, verification processes, and issue resolution
- Review products and processes for alignment with project plans and industry standards
- Install, configure, administer, and patch on-premises and/or cloud middleware platforms
- Diagnose end-to-end integration issues across applications, middleware, and network layers
- Assist development teams with deployment packaging, configuration, and connectivity
- Tune middleware settings and analyze thread dumps, heap usage, logs, and connection pools
- Support CI/CD pipelines for middleware components
- Containerize middleware components and support deployments
- Participate in the full product development lifecycle from conceptualization through maintenance and customer support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, customers, and suppliers
- Mentor others and contribute to the software team's technical direction
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor degree or higher
- Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship Required
- U.S. Person status required for U.S. export control compliance
- Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
- Experience with message-oriented Middleware (ActiveMQ, Redis, Kafka)
- Experience with system administration of complex infrastructure and software development systems
- Experience administering and troubleshooting Java application servers (Weblogic, Websphere, Jboss, etc.)
- Level 4: 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in a specified technical field and 5+ years of related work experience, OR Bachelor’s Degree and 9+ years of directly related work experience, OR 13+ years of related, relevant experience
- Familiarity with TDD, DevSecOps, and CI/CD management
- Experience using Jenkins or GitLab CI
- Experience in API management, including API security policies and rate limiting
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift
- Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI and messaging/API services
- Experience writing and executing unit, integration, and system test cases
- Experience with systems engineering or software development on space-based or ground-based systems
- Adjudicated CI Polygraph pre-start
- Successful completion of the Company's Conflict of Interest assessment process
- Successful completion of a technical assessment
- Ability to work 100% onsite at Chantilly, VA or Seal Beach, CA
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
