About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of children
- Maintain open communication with parents and share children’s daily milestones
- Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines
- Fulfill mandated reporter requirements, including reporting suspected child abuse or neglect to the appropriate State agency and informing the director
- Provide supervision, care, curriculum delivery, and services according to Bright Horizons’ policies, procedures, guidance, and applicable laws
- Work in person at an early education/preschool child care center
Requirements
What you’ll need- 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required
- Candidates must pass required state and company background checks
- Candidates must meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements
- 1 year of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred
- CDA, Associate, or bachelor’s degree in early education or related field is preferred
- Must comply with applicable immunization, employment physical/screening, and health and safety training requirements
- Must frequently lift, carry, or hold children weighing 10 to 40 pounds and occasionally more than 40 pounds
- Must demonstrate full range of motion for lifting, reaching, squatting, climbing, sitting, and participating in activities
- Must respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies
- Must maintain mental and physical alertness and appropriate energy
- Must work in person in an early education/preschool child care center
