About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide problem-solving and innovative ideas to support internal customers
- Identify value-generating opportunities such as savings, efficiencies, or revenue growth
- Partner to negotiate contracts for a broad range of services
- Serve as a primary point of contact for third parties and manage governance between Capital One and assigned third parties
- Partner with internal risk groups to ensure third-party relationships comply with relevant policies and procedures
- Monitor and ensure successful delivery against third-party contractual obligations
- Own policy requirements for managed third-party relationships
- Plan and lead periodic reviews and assessments of supplier relationships
- Maintain awareness of the external marketplace and perform sourcing activities where appropriate
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Certification
- At least 2 years of experience in Relationship Management, Supplier Management, Project Management, or Process Management, or a combination
- Bachelor's degree or military experience (preferred)
- At least 4 years of experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Operations Management, Risk Management (preferred)
- Limited travel may be required
