Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate emerging vendors and alternative data products for US Card credit strategies
- Engineer high-impact features using non-traditional datasets
- Build scalable data processing and monitoring systems
- Serve as the dedicated data domain expert guiding dataset applications

- Build challenger models using new data to enhance existing models

- Use Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark, and related technologies to analyze large numeric and textual datasets
- Build machine learning models through design, training, evaluation, validation, and implementation
- Translate complex data science work into tangible business goals
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies and state-of-the-art methods
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field plus 2 years of experience performing data analytics, or a Master's Degree in a quantitative field or an MBA with a quantitative concentration
- Degree must be obtained on or before the scheduled start date
- Experience developing data science solutions using open-source tools and cloud computing platforms
- Experience with statistical modeling, model validation, and backtesting
- Experience with clustering, classification, sentiment analysis, time series, and deep learning
- Ability to retrieve, combine, and analyze data from varied sources and structures
- Preferred: Master's or PhD in a STEM field
- Preferred: Experience working with AWS
- Preferred: At least 2 years' experience in Python, Scala, or R
- Preferred: At least 2 years' experience with machine learning
- Preferred: At least 2 years' experience with SQL
