Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years building and operating production distributed systems
- Hands-on proficiency in Go or a comparable systems language
- Direct experience in CI/CD, build systems, or deployment tooling
- Track record of designing and shipping high-impact backend or platform systems used by many engineers and services
- Experience owning systems from ambiguous problem statements through long-term production operation
- Demonstrated technical leadership on cross-team initiatives
- Experience setting architectural direction and driving organization-wide alignment
- Deep operational expertise with production systems where downtime has a broad blast radius
- Experience designing for reliability, observability, and fast recovery
- Ability to drive alignment on ambiguous, cross-functional problems
- Ability to raise the technical bar through mentorship and design review
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and measurable workflow improvements
- Must be based in the USA
