Key responsibilities & impact- Establish the Forward Deployed Engineering function from the ground up
- Define FDE operating processes, internal playbooks, technical roadmap, and success criteria
- Partner directly with strategic enterprise customers to map complex L&D workflows
- Identify high-impact opportunities for agentic AI integration
- Design, build, and deploy custom AI agents integrated with customer systems and the Docebo Agent Hub
- Translate customer challenges and insights into reusable platform capabilities and scalable product features
- Own the lifecycle from discovery and system architecture through production deployment, monitoring, and iterative optimization
- Shape FDE team culture, operational rituals, and cross-functional organizational design
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of hands-on experience building, shipping, and maintaining production-grade full-stack software products
- Prior experience building, fine-tuning, or deploying agentic AI systems and LLM-powered applications in production environments
- Strong customer-centric focus and ability to engage directly with enterprise stakeholders
- Comfortable working with undefined problems and making high-stakes decisions with partial information
- Proven ability to quickly build prototypes, experiment, and iterate based on real-world usage and customer feedback
- Proficiency with React and TypeScript for frontend development
- Proficiency with Next.js and TypeScript for backend development
- Strong architectural background and experience with distributed systems, AWS, Kubernetes, and LLM providers
- Experience with GitLab, Datadog, OpenTofu, and multi-LLM orchestration tools
- Experience in customer-facing responsibilities and hands-on technical building
- Experience scoping complex projects with clients or stakeholders
- Hands-on experience working with large language models and understanding their limitations
- Ability to build technical solutions, including AI/LLM-based features, and lead conversations with enterprise clients
- Legal authorization to work in the country of application without current or future visa sponsorship
