About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute delivery engagements as the hands-on AWS subject matter expert
  • Solve customer problems and produce excellent outcomes
  • Create AWS-centered hybrid cloud infrastructure blueprints covering network, server, storage, and management software topologies
  • Deliver consulting on the Cloud Operational Model
  • Ensure quality solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction
  • Serve as an AWS subject matter expert while working in multi-cloud environments involving Azure and GCP
  • Travel 3–4 days per month when needed
  • Understand client needs throughout project delivery
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and evaluate new software technologies for platform development
  • Build relationships, listen, consult, and influence outcomes in client delivery and sales
  • Provide leadership in an entrepreneurial consulting environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or commensurate work experience
  • Minimum of 2–5+ years of experience with public, private, and hybrid cloud architectures
  • 2+ years of experience working for a consulting firm focused on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification preferred
  • AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty certification a plus
  • Azure and GCP experience preferred, including hands-on work in multi-cloud environments
  • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert and/or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification preferred
  • Strong expertise implementing technology solutions for Fortune 500 companies
  • Hands-on experience with Network, Security, Identity and Access Management, Landing Zone best practices, and Monitoring
  • Strong networking expertise, including TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, dynamic routing, firewalls, load balancing, and secure hybrid connectivity
  • 3+ years of experience with automation platforms and tools, including Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
  • 2+ years with AWS foundational services: EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, RDS, and Lambda
  • 2+ years with AWS networking: VPC design and subnetting, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Site-to-Site VPN, Route 53, ELB/ALB/NLB, Security Groups, NACLs, and AWS Network Firewall
  • 2+ years’ experience with Amazon Redshift, Athena, Glue, and data warehouses is nice to have
  • Strong preference for experience with EKS/ECS, data and analytics, multi-cloud and hybrid solutions, AWS Outposts, EKS Anywhere, SageMaker, Bedrock, developer tools, cloud migration, and AWS DevOps tools/processes
  • Familiarity with IaC, containers, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, service catalogs, and cloud management solutions
  • Consulting/client-facing experience required
  • Motivated self-starter comfortable working directly with customers
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, with excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple changing priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Strong oral and written skills
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Ability to work with minimal management oversight
