Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack components spanning Angular/React UI, Spring Boot business logic, PostgreSQL/SQL Server data layers, and integration tiers
- Build, deploy, and manage scalable applications on GCP and GKE for high availability, resilience, and cost efficiency
- Develop and maintain automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using Tekton and related tooling
- Partner with product managers to understand requirements and use cases, and build prototypes to validate solution designs
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Collaborate with Product Owners and cross-functional teams
- Design and implement secure RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems
- Write automated unit, integration, and functional tests to validate acceptance criteria and meet security and quality standards
- Use feature flags and progressive rollout strategies for safe deployments and rapid rollback
- Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system performance meets SLA/CSF targets
- Propose improvements to architecture and tooling, stay current with emerging technologies, and mentor junior engineers
- Communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years in software development required
- Strong proficiency in Java 17+
- Understanding of modern design patterns and anti-patterns
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, including security features, RESTful API development, and microservices architecture
- Strong front-end development experience with Angular and/or React, including component-based architecture, state management, and responsive UI design
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services
- Experience deploying, scaling, and managing containerized workloads on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
- Familiarity with cloud-native design principles, service mesh, and container orchestration best practices
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Tekton
- Proficiency with Git, GitHub Actions, and Gradle/Maven build systems
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and code quality/security scanning tools such as SonarQube or FOSSA
- Strong working knowledge of PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning
- Experience integrating relational databases within Spring Boot applications for CRUD operations and transactional workflows
- Practical experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
- Adherence to Software Craftsmanship principles, including clean code, refactoring, and code reviews
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
