Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a team of Embedded Software and automation developers
- Analyze product requirements, plan work, and deliver software according to committed milestones
- Create the product development backlog
- Run daily scrum meetings with direct reports to review delivery plans and address blockers
- Use Jama for requirements and C to develop embedded software components for microcontroller-based automotive ECUs
- Drive code reviews and integrate and build the Basic software platform using DaVinci Configurator
- Verify and debug critical issues
- Modify low-level drivers using C, Python, and assembly code
- Deliver high-quality software components on time
- Scale, modify, and refactor existing software components for new architecture requirements
- Collaborate with Ford architecture and validation teams, tool vendors, and AUTOSAR basic software partners
- Create reusable software components, supporting documentation, and integration guides
- Perform code-level integration tasks, including replicating build environments and source-code debugging
- Improve and streamline deployments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
- 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation
- 6 years of experience designing and developing software components using C for real-time embedded systems
- 4 years of experience with software configuration management and version control using GitHub, PTC Integrity, or SVN
- 4 years of experience capturing requirements using JAMA or DOORS
- 3 years of experience troubleshooting and debugging software on hardware benches using debuggers, Greenhill Multi or Lauterbach, Vector CANoe, and CANalyzer
- 3 years of experience developing embedded software within AUTOSAR using Vector DaVinci and EB Tresos
- 3 years of experience conducting agile software development and project management using Jira or PTC Integrity
- 3 years of experience developing safety-critical embedded software for Body Control Modules or automotive ECUs
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must live within a reasonable commuting distance from the Allen Park worksite
- Willingness/ability to undertake domestic travel up to 10%
