About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Utilize 3D design software to identify, communicate, and resolve project challenges
- Combine all building discipline models into a 3D design software coordination model
- Review coordination models for constructability issues using clash detection capabilities
- Assign responsible parties for issue resolution
- Verify and document issues through meeting minutes, submittals, RFIs, and updated models
- Communicate with internal and external project teams
- Facilitate meetings to resolve project issues and review schedules or other project documentation
- Utilize reality capture technology, such as laser scanning and drones, to support project deliverables
- Participate in office and department activities, including orientation programs, training sessions, and peer group meetings
- Support one VDC deliverable under supervision
- Protect and promote the interests of Gilbane and the client
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Building Information Modeling (BIM) or related field
- 0-1 years of VDC Coordination experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong time-management and analytical skills
- Knowledge and functional use of BIM design software
- Basic understanding of construction documentation
- Strong interest in design concepts and integrated building components and systems
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
