Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and implement robust software solutions for avionics systems using C/C++
- Engineer mission-critical software applications within deterministic hard real-time operating system environments

- Apply DO-178B/C and ARP4754 standards for software assurance and system engineering
- Participate in iterative planning, adaptive execution, and cross-functional collaboration
- Conduct requirements engineering and traceability using IBM Rational DOORS
- Provide technical mentorship and support professional development of team members
- Stay current with technological advancements and integrate new practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 6 years of experience in embedded software development for avionics or safety-critical systems
- Demonstrated proficiency with C++ and Python
- Proficiency with Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Confluence, and IBM Rational DOORS
- Familiarity with DO-178B/C, ARP4754, and safety-critical software development processes
- Experience with RTOS environments
- Experience with avionics communication protocols including ARINC 429/653, CAN, and RS-232
- Must be a U.S. Person: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status, or able to obtain export authorization
