Key responsibilities & impact- Implement, operate, and maintain F5 load balancer technologies in a global enterprise across multiple networks
- Upgrade to new technologies, tune performance, and implement critical system patches
- Ensure SSL/TLS offloading and brokering PKI authentication features on F5 appliances remain operational
- Back up load balancing configurations and PKI certificates according to customer policies
- Alert customers before PKI certificate expiration and assist with certificate renewals
- Create, manage, and troubleshoot load-balanced IP address spaces
- Develop and implement technical solutions with engineers and architects
- Provide after-hours troubleshooting support to 24/7/365 IT Operations Center personnel
- Develop and update technical solutions, operating procedures, and documentation for initial troubleshooting and triage
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience administering and managing F5 load balancer appliances in an enterprise environment
- Knowledge of standards, concepts, and tools for monitoring and managing F5 appliances
- Technical knowledge of backing up PKI certificates and appliance configurations
- Experience creating, managing, and troubleshooting load balanced IP address spaces
- Experience working independently in support of customer requirements
- Experience interfacing with team members on requirements and solutions
- Familiarity with IT Service Management products such as ServiceNow
- DoDM 8140.03 (previously DoD 8570) IT System Admin Intermediate certification, such as Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+ CE, GSEC, or higher
- F5 Certified Administrator (201) or higher certification
- High School Diploma with 8+ years of relevant experience, Associate’s with 6+ years of experience, Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 2 years of experience
- US Citizenship required
- TS/SCI with Poly required, or TS/SCI and willingness to obtain a polygraph
