Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with the Operational Energy team to quantify the impact of prospective and current initiatives using statistical analysis, data wrangling, and predictive machine learning models
- Establish KPIs to track and evaluate team projects and initiatives
- Design, build, and maintain interactive business intelligence dashboards focused on fuel consumption and aviation energy data
- Define and evaluate aviation energy metrics to identify and prioritize actionable energy-saving opportunities
- Acquire and validate aviation operational data and conduct quantitative analyses to recommend energy-efficiency solutions
- Maintain proactive communication with cross-functional stakeholders and team liaisons
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, with 8+ years of data analysis experience; or a Master’s degree in one of those fields with 6+ years of data analysis experience
- Eligible for DOD Secret clearance
- U.S. Citizen
- Proficiency with SQL, Python, PySpark, Databricks, ETL pipelines, Power Automate, and Tableau/PowerBI/Qlik
- Experience designing scalable data architectures and developing statistical analytics frameworks
- Technical writing experience and strong verbal and written communication skills across technical and executive audiences
- Ability to travel as business needs require
- Preferred: familiarity with Air Force Operational Energy or related DoD energy initiatives
- Preferred: experience with Palantir Foundry data pipelines, models, or workflows
- Preferred: experience developing and deploying deep learning or machine learning models using PyTorch or TensorFlow
