About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure web and mobile applications supporting mission-critical customer requirements
  • Build responsive front-end applications using Next.js, React.js, JavaScript, and CSS
  • Develop backend services and RESTful APIs using Python and Django
  • Develop and maintain Wagtail CMS solutions and optimize PostgreSQL databases
  • Develop and support React Native and native iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Xcode, and iOS SDKs
  • Write maintainable code, conduct peer reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement testing
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable applications in AWS
  • Collaborate with DevSecOps engineers on CI/CD pipelines, Docker deployments, cloud infrastructure, and monitoring
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, support sprint execution, remove impediments, and promote continuous improvement
  • Partner with Product Owners, developers, and customer stakeholders to establish sprint goals and prioritize work
  • Manage technical dependencies and delivery risks
  • Use Jira, GitLab, and Rocket.Chat for Agile management, source control, and communication

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • US citizenship is required per contract
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience, or Master’s with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Active Top Secret/SCI with the ability to successfully pass a Polygraph examination
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining modern web and mobile applications
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, React.js, Next.js, HTML, CSS, Python, and Django
  • Experience with Wagtail CMS or comparable content management frameworks and PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
  • Experience developing cross-platform mobile applications using React Native and native iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Xcode, and iOS SDKs
  • Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining applications in AWS, including S3, ECS, RDS, CloudFront, and ALB
  • Experience with Docker, Git-based source control, GitLab, and CI/CD practices
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration concepts
  • Demonstrated experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, including facilitating Scrum ceremonies and supporting sprint execution
  • Experience using Jira or comparable Agile project management tools
  • Strong understanding of secure coding, automated testing, code reviews, software integration, and troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
  • Preferred: experience supporting DoD or IC software development programs; Agile certification; Scrum Master or Agile technical lead experience; mentoring and government customer collaboration; advanced framework, AWS, iOS, React Native, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, automated testing, and secure application experience
