About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead end-to-end product design from discovery through delivery across desktop, mobile, and responsive experiences
  • Partner with Product Managers and Engineers to challenge assumptions and define solutions
  • Engage directly with customers to understand needs, gather feedback, and inform product decisions
  • Create user flows, customer journeys, wireframes, interactive prototypes, high-fidelity designs, and production-ready experiences
  • Design across onboarding, e-commerce, AI-powered capabilities, administration, customer conversations, and emerging platform initiatives
  • Build high-fidelity prototypes using AI-assisted development workflows and iterate based on feedback
  • Review AI-generated frontend implementations, refine production code, and bridge design and development
  • Evolve Nextiva's design system, reusable components (A2UI), and design standards
  • Use customer research, analytics, experimentation, and usability testing to improve product experiences and business outcomes
  • Present concepts, facilitate customer and stakeholder conversations, and explain design rationale and tradeoffs
  • Manage multiple initiatives independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Leverage AI-powered design, research, and development tools responsibly
  • Explore emerging AI technologies and share productivity and design-quality best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years of experience designing digital products, preferably within SaaS or enterprise software environments
  • Strong, current portfolio demonstrating product thinking, interaction design, visual design, accessibility, systems thinking, and measurable customer impact
  • Experience leading complex product initiatives from discovery through implementation
  • Ability to think critically, solve ambiguous problems independently, challenge assumptions, and influence product direction
  • Experience designing production-ready experiences across desktop, mobile, and responsive environments
  • Experience building, maintaining, and evolving scalable design systems, reusable components, and component libraries
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design, information architecture, usability testing, experimentation, and data-informed design
  • Customer communication and discovery skills, including conducting customer conversations, gathering feedback, and translating insights into actionable design decisions
  • Experience partnering with software engineers throughout implementation and delivery
  • Proficiency using modern AI-powered design and development tools
  • Working knowledge of AI-generated frontend development, Git-based collaboration, and component-based architecture
  • Technical fluency with HTML, CSS, modern frontend frameworks, and design systems
  • Experience building interactive prototypes and using them to validate solutions
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Self-directed, highly adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Curiosity about emerging AI technologies and willingness to experiment, adapt, and share new approaches
  • Preferred: Experience with Cursor, Claude Code, ChatGPT, or similar AI-native workflows
  • Preferred: Experience designing AI-powered product experiences
  • Preferred: Experience contributing to React component libraries
  • Preferred: Personal or side projects demonstrating product design, coding, or AI experimentation
  • Preferred: Experience conducting A/B testing
