About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Treat patients via telehealth visits, including telephone triage calls, video appointments, and email follow-ups
- Participate in weekly Clinical Rounds and other continuous-learning activities
- Collaborate with virtual and in-office teammates through daily huddles
- Apply clinical training to provide exceptional virtual patient care
- Provide evidence-based virtual medical care in concert with patients’ primary care providers
- Support 24/7, 365-day virtual clinical care services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completion of master’s degree in an accredited Physician Assistant program (MSPAS)
- Active NCCPA certification
- Within the past 5 years, at least 2 years practicing as an Advanced Practitioner in outpatient primary care seeing patients of all ages, or in urgent care/emergency medicine seeing patients of all ages
- Currently licensed in VA, DC, or MD, with ability to obtain additional state licenses
- For VA: autonomous practice required
- Ability to work weekday and weekend shifts, including every other Saturday and/or Sunday
- Availability for shifts ranging from 6am–5pm ET, 11am–10pm ET, or 1pm–12am ET
- Excellent clinical and communication skills
- Clinical proficiency in evidence-based primary care
- Ability to effectively use technology to deliver high-quality care
- Ability to communicate with and provide care to individuals of all backgrounds
- Ability to navigate uncertain situations with patients and colleagues
- Readiness to adapt personal and interpersonal behavior to patient needs
- Authorization to work in the United States, verified through E-Verify
