About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and maintain front-end web applications using modern web technologies
Build and style responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces for VA stakeholders
Integrate front-end components with backend REST services and APIs
Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to incorporate AI-driven insights and decision support into user interfaces and workflows
Implement front-end best practices for performance, security, and scalability in cloud-hosted environments
Work with UX designers and product owners to translate requirements and wireframes into production-ready UI components and screens

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience) and 5 years of experience; or Master’s Degree and 3 years of experience
Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ certification within 90 days of employment
Must be a U.S. Citizen; no dual citizenship
Ability to obtain a secret clearance
Hands-on experience building front-end web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience with at least one modern front-end framework or library (e.g., ReactJS, Angular, or Vue)
Experience with Material UI or a similar component library
Experience using version control (Git) with platforms such as GitLab or GitHub
Experience working in a cloud environment (e.g., AWS, Azure)
Experience integrating front-end applications with backend services and RESTful APIs
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative Agile environment
